New Head for Westminster City School

The Trustees would like to record their thanks to James Wilson for his Headship of Westminster City School over the last 4 years.  During this time the standards in all areas have improved considerably as can be seen from the most recent Ofsted Inspection report.

The Governing Body of Westminster City School is pleased to announce that Peter Broughton has been appointed Headteacher of the School.  He will take up the post in January 2018.

Mr Broughton is currently Deputy Headteacher at St Saviour’s and St Olave’s Church of England School where he leads on achievement and progression.  He grew up and was educated in Guildford and then read Theology and Philosophy at St Andrew’s University where he gained a Master of Theology degree in 1999.

He previously taught at Bishop Justus School before taking up his current post in 2013.  He started his teaching career in Japan and has over 15 years’ experience teaching in London state schools.

Governors are also grateful to Ms Solani for agreeing to take on the role of Acting Headteacher for the Autumn Term 2017 to ensure continuity and stability for the school community.
