Westminster City School Inspiring Creative Futures Concert at Smith Square Hall

On Tuesday 23 June, Westminster City School proudly presented its Inspiring Creative Futures Concert at Smith Square Hall, celebrating a year of musical growth, collaboration and incredible student performances.

The concert showed the most recent achievement in the school’s partnership with the Smith Square Sinfonia, which brings together students from across the Music Department to perform in one of London’s most historical and cultural venues. Everyone enjoyed a varied programme featuring the Chamber Choir, School Orchestra, Gospel Choir, School Band and the debut performance of the newly formed Guitar Ensemble.

The audience included the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Karen Scarborough, who praised both the quality of the performances and the professionalism shown by Westminster City School students throughout the evening.

The concert was a beautiful celebration of musical excellence as well as the opportunities that describe Music at Westminster City School. Through partnerships such as the Smith Square Sinfonia, students have the opportunity to learn from professional musicians, perform in exceptional venues and develop the confidence, discipline and teamwork that will stay with them for a long time, even after they finish their studies at Westminster City School. Well done to all!
